Rooney Votes to Audit the Fed

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Tom Rooney (FL-16) issued the following statement after the House of Representatives approved the “Federal Reserve Transparency Act,” H.R. 459, which Rooney cosponsored:
“This was one of the first bills I cosponsored when I came to Congress, because the American people have a right to know how exactly how the Federal Reserve is spending their hard-earned tax dollars. Requiring a full audit of the fed will introduce accountability and transparency to an institution that has been shrouded in secrecy for too long.”
