Rooney: Free Trade Means More Jobs for Florida
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Tom Rooney (FL-16) today issued the following statement on House passage of free trade agreements with Colombia, Panama and South Korea:
“These free trade agreements will help create jobs and grow the economy by opening new markets for American-made products. According to some estimates, these agreements will help create more than 250,000 American jobs, including thousands of new manufacturing and agriculture jobs in Florida.
“Expanding free trade and helping American businesses compete in the global economy are critical pieces of our plan to help America’s job creators. I hope the Senate will approve these trade agreements quickly, and then get to work on the additional jobs bills that have passed in the House but are stuck in the Senate.”
